benjamin vigneron, also known as vronsky, was born in 1991 in aix-en-provence, france. as a teenager, drawn simultaneously to visual arts, cinema and music production, he made his first contact with techno by working for a local club as a graphic designer. during his 20s, while living between montreal, canada and marseille, france, it was revealed to benjamin he suffered from a heavy bipolar disorder. as a reaction, he started losing himself in free parties and increasingly dangerous habits. gradually learning to love himself despite his flaws, he kicked his risk-taking after he realized the love of music prevailed over anything else. equipped with a strong desire to share his vision despite not being able to perform as a dj, benjamin started a youtube channel and a collective named listening blue.

heady, astute, deep techno and ambient from blue veil, a new musical project from danny clancy. blue veils debut ep reveals gorgeously textured techno on tracks like wherethetimegoes and citizen score, as well as crafting some tender ambient passages on cuts like night czar and a kind of adventure. the ep will be released on dichotomy records, a new imprint, dedicated to refined electronic music. the labels ambition is to allow artists to explore dichotomies through their work, as they span sonic landscapes from pure ambient to techno, and other abstract dance sounds in-between. there will be a strong attention to the visual presentation of the label, with all artwork and photography also created by label boss danny clancy. with the next release lined up from ahu, and more to follow from there, the agenda for dichotomy records looks hugely promising indeed.

with the norwegian disco movement having given birth to many international dance stars, its most fundamental pioneer bjørn torske is an essential name to know. bjørn laid the foundation for the disco scene in norway that gave birth to prins thomas, lindstrom, andre bratten and todd terje. inspired by dj harvey, ron hardy and idjut boys, bjorn torske brought underground disco and house/techno (chicago/detroit style) to the country, developing a new style of dubby disco with its characteristic humorous and psychedelic twists along the way.
the reclusive cult innovator is back with a new 12” for smalltown supersound in advance of a full-length release out later this year.

following on from his debut with adult only last year, pierre codarin returns with the ‘blue planet’ ep, a three track collection of analogue funk cooked up fresh in his laboratory. pierre run his own self-titled label and has been pushing his own brand of detroit and uk-influenced techno for several years now, earning himself a strong rep on the underground. with his return to adult only he brings a deep, yet groovy and rich sound to the label and we’re pleased to have him back.

as one of the most prolific hip hop producers of all time madlib collaborated with different artists and recorded own songs under different pseudonyms. during his outstanding year 2003 he released the crown on his work, the remix album shades of blue. the album untinted contains the source material for the project and is a fantastic intro to compare all the material from both recordings. it s a great dose of jazz in which madlib focuses on the soul and jazz stuff he used for the recordings. with songs by among others herbie hancock, horace silver and donald byrd the 12-track album gives you an indication of the way madlib created his pieces. pressing on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.

brother and sister eric and arrontette mcclinton had been recording for many years. around 1976 they did a 45 release together on honey records called -where you are- under the their christian names, although eric was spelled eryke! the single didn’t have much success but both brother and sister still went on to be amazing backing singers working for legendary producers mike theodore and dennis coffey. whilst they were under the watchful eye of the production team they recorded some material again and a duo for theo/coff in a bid to get them another record deal and show their capabilities. these songs never got releases. eric became and prolific song writer and also joined the group high fashion. we are super pleased to finally release the shelved songs from 1978. this in one of two releases by the duo.

for ‘disco club’ (1978) i worked with a drummer making loops that were adjusted, to create the hypnotic groove that is so special. despite the fact that it was all recorded in a professional studio (in a suburb of paris) i find this a very ‘artisan’ disk because it was all done using equipment that we now consider “home studio”. my producer, jacky giordano and i chose to use nicknames for the credits: he would be ‘joachim sherylee’ and i would be ‘junior claristidge’. as for black devil, that was the end result of this change: an extension of me, a new character. - bernard fevre, 2015

released in the mid 1980’s the movie telling the story of a murder series which really happened during that time in florence. a psycho killer was hunting down woman and the police had no idea at all who’s the person behind the cruel crimes. the whole case also delivered the idea for hanibal lecter and the silence of the lambs movie from 1991. detto mariano produced this wonderful completely unreleased score on the hight of his success when he was also producing stars as for example adriano celentano.
very dope horror themes for the soundtracks collectors and a lot experimental electronics, score and ambient meeting jazz, pop, space disco,… is what you’ll get on all in all 35 songs.
